I have been known to have major crushes on celebs, well since the day I was born. I remember the days that I would just sit around the television and watch CMT all day so I could see a music video of my favorite gal at the time. Shania Twain. The video would start and I would tune out the world. I didn’t care if the house was on fire or if the phone was ringing. I figured one day, I was going to marry that woman one day. Hell, I even wrote her a letter to be my date to a middle school dance. Needless to say, I never heard from her and that dance was a breaking night complete with a sad 12 year old. Fast forward, I became an adult and decided that my new crush was going to be someone real. I latched my heart onto to Rachael Ray. She was the perfect woman at least on paper. She could cook, she was somewhat funny, and she said Yum-O a lot. She was the light that baked my lasagna in the easy bake oven.  That was until a couple of weeks ago and I discovered my new celebrity crush.

482867_501687846536742_1665506122_nI am a huge fan of the music genre of Ska. I feel that you cannot listen to a song in the ska genre and not smile. If you can’t you are not human. About three weeks ago, I was watching Reel Big Fish music video on some website where you can watch videos of cats. I was listening and getting my chubby dance on when all of a sudden in the videos of what I will like there was a cover of a Miley Cyrus song. I have a very guilty pleasure, I love covers and chances are 80% of the time I am going to like it over the original. I never expected what I saw next. Not only was this video promoting the fact it was covering Wrecking Ball, it also had an appearance by John Stamos. Holy Hell. John Stamos!!! Uncle “Fucking” Jesse. At this moment, I was clicking view video faster that Flash on a first date. The video starts and this woman appears with a guy saying Stamos said something about “wrecking ball” and from that moment I was hooked. I felt like a bass fish at the end of Kevin Van Dam’s line. (Actual professional fisher) This is when I was opened up to a whole new band. This is the moment that I was introduced to the band, Beebs and Her Money Makers. This is also the moment that I knew, the next inductee into the Hall of Hotties would be the lead singer, Michelle Beebs.

The woman that is leading the Beeb’s and Her Money makers, is one of the most talented women that I have ever seen and has one hell of a band backing her up. They wear a checkerboard apparel and know how to always make you laugh. Should I say checkerboard or chessboard? I know she has put me in check many times. (It’s not a Hall of Hotties without the cheesy jokes and wit, is it?) In 2011 their first album was released to the masses. It was titled, Welcome to Bartertown. The album mixes ska with the blues and funk. I have to say one of the best albums I have heard in a long while. BaHMM’s second album was just as good with a video being recorded in Ripley’s Believe it or Not. If you don’t believe me that this band has talent, check out their webpage by clicking the band photo at the bottom page.

59414_146677102037820_7350960_nBeeb’s is a female superhero come to life and has a personality that shines through in a music world that is dark and gloomy at times. She also has a voice that is unbelievable. I know it has made this guy one giant fan and swoon. She has one of those voices that makes you turn into Michael Scott from The Office about a woman.  A bit of punk rock, a bit of ska and an all-around beauty. She can act, she can sing. Is there anything this woman can’t do? She can play the kazoo. Let me repeat that for the people in the back that are not paying attention, she plays the Kazoo. That alone is Hall of Hotties worthy!!!! Plus, I sucker for tats and multicolored hair.

You can catch BaHMM on The Don’t Stop Skankin Tour with Reel Big Fish and Suburban Legends.

We would like to welcome Michelle Beebs into The Hall of Hotties. If you happen to read this,  I am guessing you are taken and for fear of getting my ass kicked, the horrible problem of having the strength of a 12 year old girl, We will be watching you perform in Springfield Mo this week. I will be the guy holding the, Can I have a hug, Sign.
