5yearssFive Years Ago when I started this website (at that time it made no sense to me really) the idea was to keep myself afloat during a horrible time. I had watched my mother be placed in a nursing home, and my health started to do something quite weird when I just started to black out at random times. The site was nothing more than me just being able to be me. It is funny because a lot has changed in the past 5 years. The site has grown up a little, ok, who am I kidding; we are finally past that awkward puberty stage where we have that patchy lip hair growing in.

It is surreal to think back on the first day I was writing. I remember sitting down and trying to come up with something that would be fun to do. I went from being the only person writing to having more than 15 writes for this site. From day one the message of this site was Life, Love, and the pursuit of all things nerdy. Here I sit 5 years later, and that is still the same. We have poetry for people to read, household hints, music, sports, podcasts, Christmas Stories, Wrestling, Life, Nerdgasms, Cosplay, Hotties, Hunks, and even the occasional PSA.

However, even with all the changes of articles, with all the writing staff, and all the different looks, (which I do apologize for, I like change. I may have a slight boner for it.) The site has not changed. I think this where I am the proudest over the past 5 years. The Buzz Kill Magazine is not a place where you are going to be reading something that will continually remind you of life. We may make fun of popular news stories (It is a red cup. Get over it.), but we are not going to insult your intelligence.

Our mission is to make you smile, take your mind off of the everyday, and hopefully we have done just that. I may not have been on my game this year due to life making the decision to wear a red wig and say “You’ve been kicked in the nuts.” But that does not mean we have forgotten about you.

I want to take this time to thank all the writers past and present that helped us grow.

I would like to thank all the fans and people who have stopped to read an article or listen to the podcast. None of this would be possible without you.

We always build the podcast as the most random show on the net, but that has always been our cup of tea. It is time for another 5 years of Random and Craziness.
