2017 is living up to be one of the most memorable years around TBK Magazine. And we have a few announcements to make heading forward and it all starts with……..

Wednesday February 8th at 9PM, The Most Random Show on the Net will be presenting its third annual award show. TBK Live presents The Nutsy Awards. A little backstory on the how the awards came about. If you are a fan of us on our Facebook Page, you have seen a little stuffed squirrel in some pictures. That stuffed squirrel is named Nutsy. Nutsy was presented to me as a gift by my mother before a stroke that set-in dementia causing her health to decline. Each time we have a photo with Nutsy and a celebrity we donate money to Alzheimer’s research. The award show was named after this cute little guy as a tribute to my mother. The Nutsy Awards is one of the most fun episodes of TBK Live of the year, and it also encourages your participation. Voting for each category such as Hottie of the Year, Hunk of the Year, and Writer of the Year will be posted over the next few days. Vote and Vote often so that your favorite will win!

But the Nutsy Awards is not all. January is going to be a start of something new around here and it is about time. Starting this Sunday, a brand-new podcast will become part of the TBK Radio family. Sunday Night Slam will be dedicated to the world of pro wrestling. The behind scenes news that you want to know, debates over hot topics in the world of wrestling, as well as talking the major PPVs taking place. Our first episode we will be discussing the first major event of the year, NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 11 that takes place in Tokyo on the 4th. We will also be taking a trip down memory lane as we review classic PPVs that you can get exclusively on the WWE Network.

You asked for more Cosplay and convention coverages and we are going to do just that. The first convention of the year will be Southern Fried Pop Culture and Comic Con which will be taking place on Jan. 28th and 29th in Jackson Tennessee. So, get your costumes ready and you can be featured in the very special Just Push Cosplay section of TBK Magazine. We will also be doing live Facebook streams and more this year from all of the convention that we will be covering.

Also, you asked for more interviews and 2017 will not disappoint. TBK Live will be getting back to what we know best and that is entertaining you in every way possible. Last year was a banner year for Live and we hope to continue on the success by getting more interviews with stars that you want. If you have someone that you would like to hear on the show send us an email in our contact section.

And there is going to be so much more that I could write about for days. We are going to be covering more nerd news, bringing you the articles you love, and more. Stay Tuned because you have no idea what is coming next.

About the author

Richard Pruitt

I am Richard and I have a problem. A problem with entertaining people. I have been in the comedy world for over 10 years. I started out as an improv actor making fun and light of everything. Doing that felt rewarding, but I have to admit, I wanted more. I couldn’t get the taste of performing out of my mouth. Does that not sound a little creepy? I decided to start doing my own stand up show. I love to make fun of my family and anything that will make a normal person say what the fuck. The journey still continues, in 2009, I had a dream to create my own online magazine. This is the beautiful corner of craziness in front of you. I have been through hell in my life but being stopped is something that I will not let happen. I am a fighter and hope to make people realize it is ok to smile and think from time to time. It also helps being a nerd.
