What are you doing? Why are you just sitting there without pants on looking at your computer or tablet or phone or Google Glass or the chip that was implanted in you because you are from the future? Why are you not in a car right now heading to Dallas for Fan Expo? I am guessing you are just sitting there thinking that this is just another convention? Well, just like flat earthers, you would be wrong. Fan Expo Dallas is here, and we are going to count down The Top 7 Reasons Why You Should Drop Everything and Come to Fan Expo Dallas Right Now.

#7: Sci-Fi Speed Dating: Being single sucks, being single and a nerd is even worse, but finding something that will roll a twenty-sided die without any question is the kind of girl that you take home to mom.

#6: Adam West and Burt Ward: If you didn’t watch the Batman TV series while growing up, your childhood sucked worse than Little Orphan Annie before being adopted by a bald rich man. This is one of the last appearances for the caped crusaders, and you need to be there. Same Bat Time, Same Bat Channel.

#5: Root Beer. Do I need to say anymore? Ask anyone who has ever been about the root beer. It’s more addicting than a binge watch of Firefly.

#4: Stan Lee Stories: Stan Lee is a freaking legend, and no one can take that away from the man who is synonymous with Marvel. If you walk into his Q and A, you may have the chance to hear him sing the theme to Spiderman, and that beats any carpool karaoke ever.

#3: Cosplay: Seriously, you want to see people dressed up as your favorite characters and don’t want to spend the money to travel to the House of Mouse, Fan Expo Dallas has you covered. As long you treat the cosplayers with respect, they will be more than happy to take photos and make people smile.

#2: Mark Hamill: This one is easy, he is Luke F***ing Skywalker.

#1: EVERYTHING: The Vendors, The Cosplay, The Guests, The People, The Experience, there is nothing like going to a convention on the planet.

About the author

Richard Pruitt

I am Richard and I have a problem. A problem with entertaining people. I have been in the comedy world for over 10 years. I started out as an improv actor making fun and light of everything. Doing that felt rewarding, but I have to admit, I wanted more. I couldn’t get the taste of performing out of my mouth. Does that not sound a little creepy? I decided to start doing my own stand up show. I love to make fun of my family and anything that will make a normal person say what the fuck. The journey still continues, in 2009, I had a dream to create my own online magazine. This is the beautiful corner of craziness in front of you. I have been through hell in my life but being stopped is something that I will not let happen. I am a fighter and hope to make people realize it is ok to smile and think from time to time. It also helps being a nerd.
