Retro Music Video: Land of Confusion

Each day 3 out of 10 people will believe something that is learned from a meme. And the sad part is that stat is made up, and yet, someone out there will ultimately use it in an argument.

As I get older and my moobs (Man Boobs) start to sag, the idea of certain parts of life has me puzzled. And hopefully, I am not the only one who feels this way. But I never understood how a person could believe everything they read on the internet. Each day 3 out of 10 people will believe something that is learned from a meme. And the sad part is that stat is made up, and yet, someone out there will ultimately use it in an argument. And that is where we are in life. Propaganda is running rampant on the net. And it’s just not the political world that is feeling the brunt of this. However, it is the segment that gets the most attention. Sharing stuff online is excellent, seven people around the world will share something with their friends every second. Again, if you believed that statement, I have some ocean front property in Nebraska that I have been trying to sell since the age of 8. But that is the thing with the internet; you can say what you want whether the statement is the truth or fabrication. All this stems from a post by someone I was friends with on Facebook sharing something that was intended to incite anger. And some posts should be that way. The moment I heard that Logan Paul was going to be the next Batman, I shit my pants. (Thank God! That was a lie) But some posts need to be researched before becoming part of the internet. And as I say this, I am probably guilty of this too at some point. But you have to know that there are people out there as crazy as this may sound that will look up to you. Somewhere there is a person who is going to listen to the words that come from your mind and is going to get the wrong impression. I know I am coming across as if I am on a soapbox, and I am fine with that. Please put your quarters in the hat on my left. But it’s weird to know that no matter which side you are on, the truth can be found at your fingertips. And the truth is not going to come from a group of individuals sharing their opinions. But it will come from most the likely of places. So, when I was searching for a video for today, it took me a few minutes. I wanted to find a song that parallels what is happening right now in the world. And I had only had one thought flying through my mind. We are in the “Land of Confusion.”

I am Richard and I have a problem. A problem with entertaining people. I have been in the comedy world for over 10 years. I started out as an improv actor making fun and light of everything. Doing that felt rewarding, but I have to admit, I wanted more. I couldn’t get the taste of performing out of my mouth. Does that not sound a little creepy? I decided to start doing my own stand up show. I love to make fun of my family and anything that will make a normal person say what the fuck. The journey still continues, in 2009, I had a dream to create my own online magazine. This is the beautiful corner of craziness in front of you. I have been through hell in my life but being stopped is something that I will not let happen. I am a fighter and hope to make people realize it is ok to smile and think from time to time. It also helps being a nerd.
