Nintendo just wrapped their E3 Direct. And they dropped a few major announcements and a small setback during this event.
First, the setback, Animal Crossing was supposed to come to the Switch in 2019. But during the direct, the wanted to get the game right so fans would have wait a little longer.
Out of the games announced, the one that is going to stand out the most is Luigi’s Haunted Mansion 3. It seemed that Nintendo looks to revamp this franchise, and I am all for it.
The next addition to the Super Smash Brothers world is going to Banjo Kazooie. Banjo Kazooie was released in 1998 for the Nintendo 64 console. A decent addition to the world of Smash and a character that Nintendo needs to bring back for a brand-new game. Not to mention, the heroes from Dragon quest joining Smash.
At the end, I thought they were going to pull the Mario card. But instead they dropped the biggest announcement of all. The follow up to Breath of the Wild. Complete with first looks of the new game. No information known but can we have that game now.
Nintendo Direct at E3 was very game heavy. And for a company that is focusing on the games, the idea of doing so can be appreciated. While, I felt a lot was underwhelming due to Nintendo already giving us a lot at their monthly Directs, the few announcements alone made it worth.
