Series: Workin’ Moms
Where To Watch It: Netflix
Seasons Available: Three

Spoilers: No
It’s difficult for me to summarize a series that has a full three seasons out already without giving it all away. It follows a group of dedicated career moms (and one dad) who take time out of their busy schedules for a Mommy and Me play date that meets weekly with a possibly crazy woman as the instructor. We get to see their extremely varied personal lives and struggles. There are some serious issues addressed such as postpartum depression and being forced to choose between job responsibilities and their children. Each character experiences difficult trials throughout their lives- cheating spouses, navigating live as a single parent, loosing a business due to a skeezy ex-boyfriend. Then there’ also slashing tires and LSD trips thrown in for fun.
Rating: A-
Is it worth watching: If you’re a mom or a woman, definitely. And if you’re not, at least still consider it. This is a hilarious, irreverent comedy that is basically Canada’s answer to Bad Moms. I love this show and get so excited every time they add a new season. The characters are well constructed and diverse. They are far from “good people” but the show does a good job of creating funny characters that remind us that parents are just that, people. People who are trying their best to make good decisions in a difficult world. Sometimes they screw up and other times, well they slash tires.
