Tell everyone you know to set their DVRs for April 30th on NBC. Because for one night only, one of the best sitcoms in the history of television will be getting back together for a special episode.
Have you thought about what Leslie Knope would be doing during the pandemic? We are going to find out. Parks and Recreation will return for one episode to see the how Leslie can stay in touch with her friends from the small town of Pawnee Indiana while practicing social distancing.
And All of the show’s core cast — Poehler, Rashida Jones, Aziz Ansari, Nick Offerman, Aubrey Plaza, Chris Pratt, Adam Scott, Rob Lowe, Jim O’Heir and Retta will return for the one night special.
NBC is on the record saying a few more familiar faces may show up as well.
The one-night episode will raise money for Feeding America’s COVID-19 Response Fund, which helps food banks secure the resources they need to serve the most vulnerable members of their communities.
State Farm and Subaru will make $150,000 matching donations. The shows cast, producers, and NBC Universal pledged $500,000 in donations to be made through May 21.
