In the year 2033, people now have the option of deciding how they can spend their afterlife…. as long as they have the financial means. Your mind can be upload into various simulations for you to spend eternity.
When Nathan is injured in a freak accident and death seemed imminent, his girlfriend, Ingrid, made the decision to upload him to her family’s account at the expensive Lake View. Once there, Nathan realizes that he has no ability to make any decisions about his future or day-to-day life because Ingrid is in control of everything. He seeks guidance from his “angel”, a living customer service representative. With the help of his “angel”, he begins to piece together his last few memories and starts to question if his death was actually an accident. At the same time, he is beginning to develop feelings for his “angel”.
Is it worth watching: I recommend it. It is TVMA but I watched it with my teenage sons. It was not inappropriate for them and they enjoyed it.
This show was a lot of fun. While it is a comedy, it is also thought provoking. There is a little more than meets the eye if you’re willing to look for the deeper meaning. Rumor is that there will be a second season but I’ve recently been burned by streaming services promising new seasons so we shall see…..
